Profitap transceivers are optical or copper modules that enable high-speed data transmission between network devices. These modules are selected and validated specifically for use in network monitoring, packet visibility, and data center infrastructures.
Our portfolio includes SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, and QSFP112 transceivers for speeds ranging from 10M to 400G.
Common deployments include connecting network TAPs to packet brokers, linking visibility appliances, and enabling high-speed packet capture infrastructures, such as IOTA. Available options include short-range, long-range, BiDi, and RX-only modules.

What are RX-only SFPs?
RX-only transceivers are receive-only optical modules used in passive network monitoring environments. They are commonly deployed with network TAPs to enforce one-way traffic capture, ensuring traffic can be monitored without transmitting data back into the production network.
RX-only BiDi transceivers are different from standard transceivers in that the transmit (TX) function is disabled at the hardware level. The components required to power and drive the TX laser are physically removed. As a result, the module cannot transmit under any circumstances. This creates accurate one-way optical communication, preventing signal injection, accidental link negotiation, and any impact on the production network.
