It provides complete visibility of Virtual Machine (VM) traffic, including critical east-west (inter-VM) flows, empowering you to monitor network security, availability, and performance proactively.
Profitap vTAP enables network engineers to quickly detect performance issues inside VMware traffic by mirroring and filtering VM data at the hypervisor level without the need to modify the configuration of the target virtual machines. After filtering, the vTAP sends the relevant mirrored traffic to physical or virtual monitoring tools for deeper analysis and troubleshooting.

This powerful component aggregates and filters tapped virtual traffic, creating data tunnels to any Profitap Network Packet Broker (NPB) or other physical or virtual monitoring tools. Profitap NPBs further optimize, distribute, and balance network traffic, improving the efficiency of your analysis and security solutions.
